Cleaning Contractor Negligence #2
|
|

This is the cleaning
performance sticker from the company that just cleaned this system on
8/6/07 and it is only 9/13/2007 (1 month)
This is no where near enough
time for this much buildup in a system like what you are about to see
(The company
name is withheld for legal reasons)
|

This is where the fan was,
but it had to be removed for service. This is a side draft fan that is
inside the building ceiling itself. The fan had major grease buildup
on it. It had to be removed to replace the shaft & bearings because of
cleaner neglect
|
|

These are the fan blades
still hooked into the motor. Notice the angle of the shaft
|

Same fan blades removed to
service the bearings and install new shaft.
|
|

This is the bad shaft where
the bearing wore into the shaft itself
|

These are the blades of the
fan after being cleaned by a professional company
|
|

The fan is actually leaking
the grease (fuel) into the restaurants ceiling where the servers stand
near the dining room
|

This is the ductwork over
the hood.
Notice all of the grease in
the system
|
|

This is 1 of the 6 access
panels through the whole restaurant that were never opened to clean the
system properly |

This is the result of the
ducts being so full, they started leaking throughout the restaurants
ceiling
|
|

This is also from another
duct leaking over the public restroom
Beside repairing the fan the rest of the system was cleaned out.
Luckily this neglect was noticed before the inevitable happened
